A Thurso boy’s taken his first steps after undergoing a life-changing operation.

Kayden Gordon was born with a rare form of cerebral palsy, which meant he was unable to straighten his legs – but thanks to backing from the local community and MFR’s Cash for Kids he was able to raise the £80,000 required for surgery abroad.

Just a few months on Kayden has now taken his first steps and his mum, Sarah, couldn’t be happier:

But the story doesn’t stop there, as Kayden and his family are now giving something back to Cash For Kids. During Saturday’s gathering they presented the team with a cheque for £2,500 from Kayden's ‘Wish to Walk’ fund to help benefit local children in the area.

A cheque for £2,500 was also presented to Riding for the Disabled.
