WATCH: Inverness boy tries to replace ICT's John Hughes
Seven year old boy writes to ICT to put himself forward for top job
A seven-year-old boy has written to Caley Thistle to put himself forward for the top job at the club.
In a handwritten note to Executive Chairman Kenny Cameron, Ewen Mackenzie said: "It has come to my attention that we now have a vacancy at the club.
"I would like to put myself forward for the role of manager".
The Cradlehall Primary School pupil also promised: "I can speak to my Headmaster and see if he would be up for letting me leave school early for important matches and training."
ICT's board received the letter after posting a statement on the club's website about the vacancy.
The statement said: "The directors are conscious of the fact that fans will be eager for an update on the managerial situation following the departure of John Hughes.
"You can be assured that your board are working its way through the options available to us and we are confident of appointing a new manager of the calibre we require to continue the steady progress we have made since first joining the leagues.
"News on this will be shared in due course and we thank everyone for their continued patience and support."
But the boy who lives in the Westhill area of Inverness has received a reply from Kenny Cameron who's turned down the potential candidate, telling him to focus on school for now, and then maybe one day he could play for ICT.
