Teens rescued from sea at Cullercoats

The bright sunshine and an increase in temperature yesterday were deceptive along our coastline.
A group of people were jumping into the sea from the South Pier at Cullercoats.
It almost turned into a tragedy - emergency services had to rescue two 18 year old's from near drowning - they're in hospital with severe signs of hypothermia
