Detectives investigating an assault in Washington which left a man with a fractured skull and bleed on the brain have released the images of three men they would like to identify.

Shortly before 1.15am on January 30, a man and a woman were walking along Spout Lane near The New Tavern pub in Concord.

At that point, two offenders approached the man and punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground. They then proceeded to kick the victim on the floor before making off.

The victim – a man in his 40s – was taken to hospital as a result of the assault which resulted in him suffering a fractured skull and cheek bone, as well as a bleed on the brain.

An investigation was immediately launched into the incident, and now as part of their enquiries, officers have identified three men who they would like to trace.

Police are looking to speak to these three men:

They were believed to be in the area at the time of the assault and could have information that can assist the ongoing investigation.
