Police appeal for witnesses after a two-vehicle collision in Walbottle
Northumbria Police says four people suffered non-life threatening injuries

Officers investigating a collision in Walbottle that left four people injured have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
At about 4.55pm on Saturday (August 12) officers received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a silver Vauxhall Corsa on Hawthorn Terrace near the Nisa Local store.
The collision resulted in four people sustaining non-life threatening injuries. Two men, a woman and a 12-year-old boy subsequently received treatment at hospital.
The driver of one of the vehicles is believed to have left the scene prior to emergency services arriving. Enquiries are ongoing to locate him.
Police are now appealing for anybody who witnessed the collision to come forward and assist the investigation.
Members of the public who were in the area are asked to check any CCTV or dashcam footage and get in touch if they see anything of interest involving a silver Vauxhall Astra or Corsa prior to the collision.
