Police appeal for information after a man is assaulted in Newcastle
The man, who is in his early 20s, was left with a broken nose
Officers have issued the images of a group of males they would like to trace, after a man was assaulted in a city centre bar.
In the early hours of Wednesday, July 18, it was reported that a man in his early 20s had been inside the Holy Hobo in Newcastle when an unknown male pushed past him.
The victim has challenged the male, who then responded in an aggressive manner and punched him in the face. A number of other males who were inside the bar have then joined in and assaulted the victim, who was left with a broken nose and a number of cuts to his face.
An investigation to trace the offenders was launched and a number of enquiries have been carried out.
Today (Monday) officers have issued the images of five males who were in the area and could have information which assists.
The men, anyone who knows them, or has information is asked to come forward.
