Notorious - The history of the Sayers family in Newcastle.

They've been described as the Peaky Blinders of Newcastle and now a new book will tell all the tales of the notorious Sayers family.

Through John Heny and Stephen Sayer's reputation has hard men their family name in recent years has inspired both fear and respect in the city.

But just how did it get to this point?

Well first time authors and cousins Eddie Lennie and Tony Sayers have researched 130 years of the family history to tell all the tales.

With help of publisher Steve Wraith their book "A Breed Apart" will chronicle Newcastle in a way that many have never heard or seen.

The authors spent some time with reporter Micky Welch talking about their book.
