The best beers the North East has to offer will be flowing at Salt Market Social next month as the popular North Shields warehouse venue prepares for its second annual beer festival.

Following a hugely popular launch event last year, the region’s favourite bars and brewers will come together for the two-day gathering on the 17 and 18 February to celebrate the diversity and calibre of the North East craft beer scene.

Ale fans will have the chance to sample a huge selection of craft beers, from fruity pale ales to rich porters, all while enjoying a stellar line-up of live music, DJs and street food.

Left Luggage Rooms, Nord Bottle Shop, Enigma Tap, Front Street Tap, Café Amsterdam and event organisers Salt Market Social are among the bars already confirmed for the event. They will be pouring beers from some of the most acclaimed breweries that Tyneside has to offer, including Almasty, Dog and Rabbit, Errant, Flash House, Full Circle, Northern Alchemy, Out There Brewing, Two By Two and Wylam.

The event will also welcome Newcastle’s The Town Mouse Ale House as very special guests.

The featured bars will also be bringing their favourite national breweries to the party with top-quality brewers still to be announced.

Andrew Findlay, co-owner of the Left Luggage Rooms, said he can't wait to return to North Shields for the 2023 event. "We had a fantastic weekend at All Pints East last year and this year looks like it will be even better,” he said. “The vibe was so relaxed and everyone had an amazing time. This year we'll be pouring some very special beers from our alter ego, Flying Gang and the pure class of Cloudwater"

Dave Stone of Wylam Brewery, continued: "All Pints East is a wonderful celebration of the region's Independent Beer Scene where the beer tribes gather to sample the finest liquid. We can't wait to get back in there."

In addition to the steady flow of craft beer will be an expertly curated selection of live music and DJs. Thanks to the venue’s pedigree as one of the North East’s most trusted musical taste-makers, Salt Market Social’s programmers have promised a line-up of the region’s best and brightest up-and-coming talent.

An array of tasty street food stalls will top things off, giving the event a full festival feel.

The complete list of bands, DJs and street food stalls will be announced over the coming weeks via Salt Market Social’s Facebook page.

The curator of All Pints East, Jim Mawdsley of Salt Market Social, added: “The first edition of All Pints East was such a blast we just had to do it again. Not only did all the bars and breweries pour amazing beers but the live band and DJs really got the place rocking with a real party atmosphere.

“We are so pleased that everyone wanted to come back, we feel that we are establishing an annual get-together for the Newcastle and North Tyneside Craft Beer community and it's a perfect opportunity to get together and do what we like best - drink beer!”

All Pints East will take place over 3 sessions: Friday 17 from 6-11pm, Saturday 18 from 12pm-5pm and the final session from 6-11pm on the same day.

Tickets for each session are £9 (plus booking fee) and include a celebratory beer glass. Tickets are available now from fatsoma.com/saltmarketsocial
