Micky's Wedding Diaries
Be prepared for GROOMZILLA!
If you didn't already know our Micky Welch is getting hitched next year!
So welcome along to Micky's Wedding Diaries where he'll be taking you through the planning stages up to his big day.
The first step is getting the right venue - somewhere iconic, memorable and right in the heart of Gateshead and Newcastle.
With all that in mind let's talk about the Baltic.
What a setting! You couldn't get more iconic than that!
Baltic's River Terrace is located on the ground floor mezzanine level overlooking the River Tyne. The perfect venue for a wedding.
You can take a virtual tour of the Baltic and the River Terrace venue here
Micky went along to meet their wedding co-ordinator Mary-Jane Jean-Marain to chat about what they offer.
So that's the venue all sorted - now onto the CAKE!
Micky's been to meet Tracey Nichol, she runs in Whitley Bay.
She's behind some of the best cakes made anywhere in the North East.
The cake Micky and his bride are after must have some references to New York - that's where he proposed so they're hoping to incorporate the NY skyline and the infamous I love NY sign onto their design.
Couple that with some delicious flavours and it'll be a stand out cake like some of the ones Tracey has in her showroom.

So that's the beautiful venue and amazing cake sorted - next up, the INVITES!
Micky's been to meet Helen Scott, she runs Helen Scott Design in Washington.
As you can see from her website and she's got some of the most creative and unique invites around!
The invites Micky and his bride are after must have an element of fun and imagination, and as we've already discussed they want to incorporate New York in there somehow..
You can hear Micky's full chat with Helen here:
Micky will be back with another of his Wedding Diaries next month but if you'd like to take part get in touch News@MetroRadio.co.uk
