Footballer Marcus Rashford has spent all day re-tweeting businesses who are stepping in to make sure children don’t go hungry this half term.

Earlier this week, MPs voted to not extend free school meals into the half-term and Christmas holidays; a motion that had been inspired by Rashford’s fight against food poverty.

The footballer has spent the day retweeting businesses, community groups and councils across the country which have committed to offering free food for children from low-income families.

Here are the businesses in the North East which have reached out to Rashford to say they're going to support children.
