79 year old man dies after collision in Seaton Sluice

Police say a 79 year old man has died following a collision in Seaton Sluice on the Northumberland coast.

The white Suzuki car he was driving hit a wall at Fountain Head Bank at around 8.30am on Saturday morning.

The man, who's now been named as George McCall from Seaton Sluice, was taken to hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

Officers have begun an investigation into the crash and have spoken to a number of witnesses, but are keen to hear from anyone else with information that could help.

They're also appealing for anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
