Hundreds of people have attended a memorial service in Hampshire today as a Durham Uni student is laid to rest.

20-year-old Olivia Burt suffered head injuries outside Missoula nightclub in Durham last month - it's believed she was crushed under a barrier,

Olivia, who was originally from Milford-on-Sea in Hampshire, was a talented sailor who competed for Britain in the European Championships.

Her family has asked any donations in her memory to go to Lymington SailAbility.

The charity's chairman, Ali Gunn, said:

"People like Olivia's family, who despite their horrendous pain at times like this, think of others - both personally, and on behalf of Lymington SailAbility, I'd like to say a big thank you to them.

"Hopefully, Olivia's legacy will give many the opportunity, that may otherwise have been denied, to enjoy the same great passion that she had sailing."

Durham Police say they have interviewed around 50 people who were out in the Walkergate area on the night that Olivia died, including bar staff, door staff and people queuing to get into Missoula nightclub.

They say they anticipate enquiries into her death will last "a number of months."
