Durham Polcie tell us they're experiencing technical issues with the 101 and 999 phone lines.

They're asking the public to only call 999 in an emergency while engineers work to rectify the issue.

If your call is not urgent, you're urged to consider whether you need to call at all.

They suggest using the Advice Centre on their website to see if your question is answered - www.durham.police.uk/Advice-Centre/Advice-Centre.aspx

Alternatively, non-urgent reports can be made via the 101 live chat service: https://bit.ly/3Pq6I0u

The force has apologised for any inconvenience caused and will try to get operations restored ASAP.
