Concern as woman "put into a car" in Newcastle
Incident happened late last night, Wednesday 13th April
Police are appealing for the public's help after receiving a report of concern for a woman in Newcastle.
At 11.10pm on Wednesday, April, 13, police received a report from a member of the public who had witnessed a woman being put into a car by a man on Grandstand Road, near to the Bluehouse Roundabout.
The car was facing away from the roundabout.
Enquiries are on-going to trace the vehicle and the woman to ensure she is ok.
The woman is described as aged around 20 years, having blonde hair and was wearing flowery leggings and a light coloured jacket.
The male was wearing dark clothing, possibly a suit.
Officers want to speak to the man and woman involved in the incident so they can ensure everything is ok, or anyone who may have information that can help.
Chief Inspector Sam Rennison said:
"A member of the public called the police as they were concerned for the woman. At this stage we don't know if she knows the man or the circumstances of what has gone on, but it is important we identify who the woman is and make sure she is ok.
We really need to speak to her and I would ask anyone who has information about who she is or about this incident to please get in contact."
