At about 2.30am on April 20, officers received a report that the Broadway Co-op on Springwell Road had been targeted by thieves.

Offenders got out of a white Transit-style van and smashed their way into the store, before stealing a quantity of alcohol. They then drove off in the same vehicle.

An investigation was launched immediately after the incident with officers working to identify those responsible.

As part of their enquiries, they have now identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
