CCTV released after Rape in Newcastle club

Police investigating a rape at a Newcastle club have released CCTV images of someone they wish to trace. It happened between midnight and 4am, on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Grey's nightclub, on Grey's Court. The 49-year-old victim went into the toilets with a man at the premises where the incident happened. Detective Sergeant Donna Rose, from Northumbria Police's rape and domestic abuse team, said:

• "We have followed several lines of enquiry to locate the person responsible for this incident since it was reported to us. * We are particularly keen to trace the man in the images who was in the club at the time and may be able to assist us with the ongoing investigation. We'd also urge anyone else who was in the club in the early hours of August 24 to come forward. They may remember seeing a man and woman going into the toilets which caught their attention and could have further information to help us."
