CCTV appeal to trace two men after knife incident in Newcastle

Officers have issued the images of two men they would like to trace following a report a man had been threatened with a knife in Newcastle.

Shortly before 2.40pm on July 7, a man was cutting the grass outside a premises on Broomy Hill Road when he was approached by a group of offenders.

The men reportedly pulled out knives and threatened the 28-year-old man, and then chased him down the street, before making off from the scene.

The victim was not physically injured but the incident has left him shaken and distressed.

An investigation has been ongoing and a number of enquiries already carried out.

Officers have now released the images of two men who were in the area at the time of the incident, and could have information which assists police.

The men, anyone who knows them, or anyone with information, is asked to contact police using the 'Tell Us Something' page of their website or by calling 101 quoting reference 078099M/22.
