Blyth man dies after nightclub attack
A 45 year old man who had been attacked in Blyth has died
Officers investigating an assault on a man on Stanley Street in Blyth in the early hours of Sunday, April 30, have confirmed he has since died.
The 45-year-old man suffered serious head injuries and had been receiving treatment at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, but sadly passed away in hospital in the early hours of Wednesday, May 17.
His family have been informed and he has been named as Jason Glancey of The Oval in Blyth.
Two men had previously been charged in relation to the assault, a 22-year-old man has been charged with unlawful wounding and a 21-year-old man charged with common assault.
They have both been released pending further enquiries.
