Appeal for information after Gateshead collision

Officers investigating a serious collision in Gateshead that left three people with injuries in hospital have appealed for information.

At about 1.10am on Saturday (June 10), officers received a report of a one-vehicle road traffic collision on Banesley Lane, Lamesley.

For reasons yet to be established, a blue Citreon DS3 car had left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

Two females and a male have subsequently received treatment in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances surrounding the collision, and police are asking anybody who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Members of the public are asked to check any dashcam footage and get in touch if you see anything that may assist the ongoing investigation.
