Lorry fire closes part of A1

The A1(M) southbound is closed near Darlington between J59 and J57 due to a lorry fire.

Emergency services are at scene, including Durham Police and Fire/Rescue.

Delays are likely on the approach to this closure, with additional journey times also expected on diversion routes.

Diversion:- follow the solid circle symbol from J59-J58. From J59 head west on the B6444 to Heighington and then the A6072 and A68 southbound to J58.
