The Tour of Britain Events

The OVO Energy Tour of Britain, the UK’s biggest professional cycle race, will return to the North East of England this September as the North of Tyne hosts the third stage of the race on Monday 9 September.
Stage Three will see some of the world’s top riders and teams contesting a 182-kilometre (114-mile) route from Berwick-upon-Tweed, heading along the North Tyneside coast and into Wallsend, before continuing to Newcastle Upon Tyne city centre, with a spectacular finish on Grey Street.
Down Baltic Square on the 10th of September, Tour of Britain race will be departing but also providing entertainment for all to enjoy!
Perhaps participate in a Zumba class, Go Gateshead spinning session or contribute on an elevated spinning bike to the 130 miles that will be cycles in this fourth leg of the tour to Kendal from Gateshead!
Steve Kaos is a cycling entertainer who will be interacting with the crowd around the area with his Penny Farthing Victorian Gent Act, Stilt Cycling and Unicycle! Holly's School of Steel will perform throughout the morning providing music for all.
Timing for the exercise classes are:
9.m - Zumba (20 minutes)
9.30am - Spinning (20 minutes)
10.m - Zumba (20 minutes)
10.30am - Spinning (20 minutes)
Food vans will be situated on Baltic Square with coffee being on South Shore Road.
