Aladdin is heading to the The Tyne Theatre with Marcus Collins

Hop off the Metro and onto a magical carpet as the Tyne Theatre presents Aladdin this winter, sponsored by Maldron Hotel, Newcastle! And this year the show welcomes X-Factor Runner Up Marcus Collins as the mystical Genie of the Lamp!
Their next fun family pantomime will once again feature an all-star cast, amazing live band and will be packed with a host of top TV stars. And of course, back by popular demand, the hilarious Charlie Richmond as Wishee Washee.
Laugh at dotty Widow Twankey, boo and hiss the evil Abanazar and cheer on our hero Aladdin who, with one rub of his magic lamp, meets the most amazing Genie.
The Genie of the Lamp will be played by superstar Marcus Collins. At just 30 years old, Marcus has already achieved great heights in his singing and musical career after his journey started on TV’s highest rating talent show, The X Factor in 2011.
His warmth and outstanding vocals continue to entertain his audience. The humble boy from Liverpool has never forgotten his roots and is now one of the city’s most beloved singing sons.
There's two new stars joining the star-studded cast of Enchanted Entertainment’s tale of Aladdin. Soap stars, Home and Away’s Nic Westaway and Hollyoaks star David Easter!
Nic Westaway is best known for playing Kyle Braxton in Australian soap Home and Away with storylines including kidnapping and armed robbery, this will be a totally different role for him, as he will be playing the lead role of goody, Aladdin.
David Easter is more commonly known for playing villain come heart-throb, Mac Nightingale in Hollyoaks, as well as Pete Callan in Family Affairs. In more of similar role to his small screen persona, David is joining the cast on stage as the wicked sorcerer Abanazar.
