Quiz pro 'hurt' as The Chase viewers switch off when she's on-screen
One chaser isn't liked by viewers
The Chase is one of the most popular evening quiz shows but it has emerged viewers boycott the show when one particular chaser is on-screen.
Quiz professional and newest member of ‘the chasers’, Jenny Ryan, has admitted she isn’t a fan favourite and feels hurt when she hears viewers say they have switched off when she comes on.

Jenny admitted she has had to deal with criticism since joining the show and said “it is quite hurtful when people make a judgement without even really watching me and saying things like ‘I’m not watching if she’s on’ or ‘I don’t like change’”.
She went on to add “There’s certain people who have contacted me on Twitter, not realising I am a human being who reads things sent to me directly. They’ve said ‘I can’t stand her, I never watch more than a minute of her before switching off’. It’s a bit like, give me a chance!”

Jenny appears on the show regularly alongside the show’s popular chasers, Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Paul Sinha and Anne Hegerty.
Speaking about being part of the successful show she said “I actually feel really lucky. It’s such a big show and we finally have that National Television Award!”
The Chase has grown in popularity since it first appeared on our TV screens back in 2009. Host Bradley Walsh often has viewers in fits of laughter with his witty personality and the show’s production leaves viewers in suspense on the ‘final chaser’.
In a recent episode the show, one contestant was mocked by viewers after giving what was dubbed the most ‘abysmal’ answer ever.
Barbara from Swansea left viewers shocked when she gave the answer ‘London’ after Bradley asked “Haymarket and Par are main train stations in which Scottish city”?
