Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke named 'Sexiest Woman Alive'

Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke has been named 'Sexiest Woman Alive' by Esquire magazine and has proved she's very deserving of the title with some stunning shots.

Clarke has played Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, in Game of Thrones since 2011 and is one of the show's most popular characters.

Esquire revealed the reason for their choice is based on how the actress appeals to many people in a different way. They said she can play "queen and kid sister, dominatrix and pal."

Previous winners include Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Mila Kunis, Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry.​

The pictures will appear in the November issue of the magazine.
