Snowdogs heading back into kennels early...

The Great North Snowdogs are heading back to their kennels earlier than expected - to be restored to paw-fect condition before they go up for auction.
The 61 individually decorated sculptures, which form the largest free public art trail ever to take place in the region, have been viewed by tens of thousands of people.
Now organisers are advising those still keen to follow the trail, that it will draw to a close on 20 November, so the popular pooches can be fully ‘groomed’ ahead of the auction, on 6 December, at Sage Gateshead.
Great North Snowdogs, held to raise funds for and awareness of the Children’s Service at St Oswald’s Hospice, Gosforth, has been the most successful trail of its kind ever staged by creative producers Wild in Art.
More than 10,715 people have downloaded the special trail app with more than 141,000 dogs unlocked so far.
And dog lovers will get one last chance to see all 61 Snowdogs at a special, Farewell Event, to be held between 2 and 4 December.
The event will also a feature a Christmas market with stalls selling gifts, street food and Snowdog merchandise, along with the chance to win a car in the St Oswald’s Hospice Annual Raffle.
