Sayers - DVD and Book Review

Published 3rd Dec 2015

The Sayers - Tried And Tested At The Highest Level.

Today the DVD that accompanies the book is released today (Friday 4th December).

The book in itself is currently riding high as an Amazon best seller and it’s easy to see why, the first chapter alone is worth the price as it delves deep into Stephen Sayers childhood and lays bare the abuse he and his brothers and mam were subjected to by his father.

One of the most vile punishments saw the three Sayers brothers left outside of their home at night and made to sleep in their dogs kennel – pretty hard hitting stuff from the outset you’ll agree.

As the chapters weave and dodge through notorious crimes from the early 80’s onwards you get a real sense that this man was at the top of the tree when it came to the criminal walk of life.

There’s honest accounts of what it was like to be at the centre of some of the most memorable crimes that have happened in the North East.

We won’t give too much away but needless to say as True Crime books go this has to be up there with the best of 2015.

The accompanying DVD allows you to be face to face with Stephen as he recalls more stories and elaborates on what’s in the book.

What you’ll find is an affable and more often than not humorous man who’s obviously walked the walk and is now talking the talk.

There’s already rumours of the book being shopped to Hollywood and with endless amounts of action on every page you can see why this would make a perfect transition to the screen.

Stephen spoke to Micky Welch a bit more about the DVD - listen here:
