Plea From Stanley Mum With Life-Threatening Condition

Published 3rd Nov 2015

I'm terrified I won't see my kids grow up.

That is the message from a County Durham mum who is desperate to find a kidney donor as she battles a life-threatening renal condition.

Mandy O'Connor from stanley has now written an online plea on social media to find a donor, for the sake of her 4 year old son Aidan.

Mandy was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease 3 years ago.

She told Metro Radio she's now facing dialysis but a living donor would mean the world to her family.

"This gift of life will mean that I can see my four year old grow up. I've got no energy, I should be running around with my four year old and doing all the things that mum's should be doing. It's debilitating. It's very depressing because you don't know what the future holds."

On her facebook post Mandy says:

If you or anyone you know could help me please email me at mand.oconnor@yahoo.co.uk please can you post this around to your friends and groups it's not just me who urgently needs a transplant but thousands of others you might not be able to help me, but you maybe able to help others thanks. Mandy
