Appeal to trace woman racially abused on the Metro
Police are appealing for the public's help in tracing a woman who was racially abused on a Metro. Officers would like to speak to the female passenger after the incident on a Metro travelling between Monument and Byker on Tuesday (February 23). It was reported by a number of witnesses but the victim had already left the scene when they arrived at the station. Police believe they have identified the man responsible for the racial abuse but they would still like to trace the woman involved in the incident that happened between 9.25pm and 9.40pm. The woman, or anyone who may know her identity, should contact police on 101 quoting reference 1171 23/02/16.
