One lucky Bride and Groom had a very special, yet unexpected, treat on Saturday as their wedding day was gatecrashed by the Magic Breakfast show team live on-air!
Ronan Keating & Harriet Scott were broadcasting live from Manchester’s iconic Albert Square when they spotted the happy couple outside the town hall from the Magic Radio studio tour bus.
Well, it would’ve been fun to have them on the bus… so that’s what happened! Ronan & Harriet, together with Ronan’s fellow Boyzone bandmate Keith, brought the ecstatic newlyweds on to wild applause from crowd outside. You can see what happened in the video above.

Lucy the bride said:
“It’s absolutely amazing, it feels totally surreal but I can’t thank Magic Radio enough for making my day even more special. Not many people can say they have Ronan, Harriet and Keith in their wedding photos. My friends aren’t going to believe it.”
The entire wedding party crammed into the bus and took selfies with the Magic Breakfast hosts before the lucky couple had their first dance to hit ‘When You Say Nothing At All’ live on-air.
Earlier in the day Ronan, Keith and Harriet tried traditional Mancunian delicacies such as hot pot and Eccles Cakes. Of the city, Keith said:
“I love Manchester, to me it feels very much like home. I’m a Dublin lad and Manchester feels very similar. You pop in to see somebody for a cup of tea and you’re still there six hours later.”
To which Ronan interjects:
“A cup of tea AND a pint of Guinness."
Local town Crier Colin W Ballard kept the crowds entertained with his hourly updates of what was happening on the show whilst Harriet was taught tricks-of-the-trade by the pro.
