Prince's unreleased LP 'Camille' is up for auction!
A rare copy of the LP has resurfaced at an RR auction.
A rare copy of the LP 'Camille' has resurfaced at an auction in the US.
The LP was made in 1986 but wasn't released at the time. It contains eight funk tracks and features Prince's female alter-ego, Camille!
Most of the album's tracks were remade after 1986 and found fame on Sign O' The Times, including Strange Relationship, If I Was Your Girlfriend and Housequake.
Some tracks also resurfaced as B-sides, including Shockadelica and Feel U Up.
One track, however, called Rebirth of the Flesh, was never officially released.
Camille was scrapped only weeks before its release, and after some copies had already been printed.
Apparently, the copies have come from the personal collection of someone called Karen Krattinger, who worked with Prince in the 80s.
The auction on the LP closes on September 14th, and has already reached a whopping $4,800!
What do you reckon – would you pay $4,800 for the unreleased LP?
