Prince Louis looks super cute in the official photos from his christening

Finally, after a week of waiting, the official photos of Prince Louis's christening have been released. Posting the photos to Twitter, Kensington Palace said, 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Members of the @RoyalFamily in the Morning Room at Clarence House, following Prince Louis’s christening. 📷 by Matt Holyoak'.

Following a beautiful group shot, there was a smaller one with all of the immediate family.

And then, a stunning photo of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their young children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with the Duchess of Cambridge holding the 12-week-old Prince Louis.

Then, the last two official photos of the christening to be released by Kensington Palace, were of the Duchess of Cambridge holding Prince Louis in her arms, looking at the young Prince.

Prince Louis is the couple's third child, and was born on the 23rd April 2018. His name was revealed a few days later on the 27th April. In June, the date for Prince Louis's christening was announced that it would take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, London.

On the day of the christening Kensington Palace then revealed who would be attending the service and who would be the godparents for Prince Louis.

The Royal website confirmed the the guests would be attending would include, 'The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Middleton, Mr. and Mrs. James Matthews, and Mr. James Middleton, The godparents of Prince Louis and their spouses.'

The statement went on to reveal the chosen godparents saying, 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked the following people to be godparents to Prince Louis, all of whom are friends or family of Their Royal Highnesses:

  • Mr. Nicholas van Cutsem
  • Mr. Guy Pelly
  • Mr. Harry Aubrey-Fletcher
  • The Lady Laura Meade
  • Mrs. Robert Carter
  • Miss Lucy Middleton

After marrying on 29th April 2011, the Royal couple welcomed Prince George on the 22nd July 2013 and Princess Charlotte on the 2nd May 2015, and then Prince Louis this year.

Prince Louis's name was confirmed on the 27th April in a statement which read, 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge'. sic
