It's described as a 'real' glimpse into family life

Posing for the perfect Christmas card picture can be tough, especially with young children.

But one Australian MP wasn't going to be put off, even when his son threw a tantrum.

Despite a sulking child, he used the picture anyway.

Andrew Leigh told the American talk show Today "We did a photo shoot with the whole family for about 20 minutes.

"Our three-year-old (Zachary) enjoyed it initially, but then found it rather frustrating that we were all standing still and looking at the camera.

"From his perspective, you can understand it – Why stand still when you can play?’"

But it was a challenging photo shoot as the dad explained that Zachary soon found his playful side.

"‘What you don’t see in the picture was that there’s a pond behind us, and Zachary’s next trick was to walk towards it. That got us moving!"

It's gone down well with people on Twitter too.
