Kellogg's are AXING this classic cereal

Oh no!

If you like to start your day with something teeth-shatteringly sweet, then we have some VERY bad news for you.

Kellogg's have just AXED Ricicles cereal in the UK.

This major change is part of Kellogg's aim to cut sugar in their breakfast cereals. As part of the campaign, Coco Pops, Rice Krispies, and Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes will all have their sugar content reduced by 20 - 40%.

Talking about the upcoming changes, Oli Morton, Kellogg's UK managing director told the Wake Up To Money podcast, "Consumers are asking for a healthier way to start the day".

However, despite his optimism that this is what customers want, the news that Ricicles will soon be extinct didn't go down too well on social media.

Some people felt persecuted by the sugar police.

While others were sad to lose the taste of their childhood.

Others were just 'a bit' devastated.

And some just wanted to take a moment to recognise that we were losing a truly unique snack.

Although, as ever, comedian and presenter Richard Osman saw the funny side, tweeting.

If you're a bit sad over the axing of Ricicles have a look at some exciting new products which are now available in the run up to Christmas.
