A study has found that many products can be bought cheapest in the capital city, including an avocado.

BeMyEye, a mobile crowdsourcing company, have found that bread, Kit Kats and Pot Noodles are 20% cheaper in London, compared to Nottinghamshire.

They also revealed that an avocado can be bought for as little as 46p in London, compared to a bank-breaking 80p in Birmingham!

Similarly, the price of a pint of milk in London averages at 65p, but reaches 81p in Lancashire.

The study revealed that a Pot Noodle costs £1.05 in Nottinghamshire, but only 92p in London. And a Kit Kat costs 81p in Nottinghamshire, compared to a mere 65p in the Big Smoke.

However, London does house the most expensive place to buy a pack of lager; a 4-pack can be bought for a staggering £7.50 on Kings Road, West London.

The most entertaining statistic that came from the study, though, was that you are now more likely to find an avocado in UK shops than a can of Coca Cola!
