George Clooney surprises 84-year-old fan with surprise visit to her care home

87-year-old Pat Adams had always dreamed of meeting George Clooney. At Sunrise of Sonning, a care home in Berkshire, she mentioned the Oscar-winning star every day, telling the carers how much she'd love to meet him.
So when the Hollywood star rocked up to her care home with a bunch of flowers for her birthday, she couldn't believe her luck.
Staff from the home had written a letter to the actor, who lives nearby, telling him how much a visit would mean to Pat.
"This was a classy gesture from a wonderful man," a Sunrise UK spokesman said.
"She was absolutely thrilled to meet her great icon, and it was such a lovely surprise to see George greet her with flowers and a card."
The spokesman explained that when George arrived at the home asking for Pat, he was holding the letter staff had sent to him. Staff often to try to fulfil their residents' wishes as part of an ongoing programme, but he added: "They didn't think they would be able to pull this one off."

George and his human right lawyer wife Amal Clooney bought a house in Sonning back in 2014.
Do any Magic readers live, or know someone who lives in the Sonning area? You could end up bumping into George too!
We'd be crying with jealousy if you did, though.
