We've picked our favourite One Hit Wonders from this brilliant decade.

This classic pop tune just missed out on the top spot, but stayed at No. 2 in the UK for a fortnight. It has now gone on to sell millions of copies worldwide.

Dream Academy entered the charts with 'Life In A Northern Town' in 1985. It only spent 3 weeks in the UK charts but we still love it!

In 1987, Johnny Hates Jazz got to number 5 in the UK charts! But they didn't quite manage that difficult second song...

5. FunkyTown – Lipps Inc.

The Minnesota-born band Lipps Inc. released FunkyTown in 1980. The band held a unique record of reaching No. 1 in 28 countires, until Madonna came along and took the title from them with her song 'Hung Up'.

6. It's Raining Men – The Weather Girls (1984)

7. The Safety Dance – Men Without Hats (1983)

The Canadian band Men Without Hats brought us 'The Safety Dance' in 1983. It's written about the lead singer Ivan Doroschuk, who was thrown out of a club because he was doing the pogo dance! Here's Magic in the Morning's Nick Snaith showing us his his best pogoing, which he renamed 'The Snaithy Dance':

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)0; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); > It's the Test of Time and it was the year this song was released... We've renamed it the 'Snaithty Dance' Magic in the Morning | weekdays 6-10am | www.magic.co.uk/live> > > Posted by on Monday, 17 August 2015

8. 99 Luftballoons – Nena (1983)

In 1983 the band Nena released '99 Luftballons' in their native Germany. It was such a success that in 1984 it was released here in the UK under the name '99 Red Balloons'. The lyrics aren't a direct translation but contains similar lyrics.
