6 celebrities who have starred in toothpaste adverts

Celebrities are known for having perfectly straight, white teeth, so it's no surprise that a few of them started off their careers in toothpaste adverts.

Here are some of the most memorable ones...

1. Jodie Foster – Crest Star of The Silence of the Lambs and Panic Room, Jodie Foster started out her career as a 3-year-old in a suncream advert! She later went on to star in a Crest advert in the late 60s/early 70s.

"Jimmy only had two cavities, and I didn't have any!"

2. Tom Selleck – Close Up Famous for playing Thomas Magnum in Magnum, P.I. and Dr. Richard Burke, Monica's on/off boyfriend in Friends, Tom Selleck was also the star of a toothpaste advert in the late 70s. Here are a couple – prepare yourself for the cheesy lines!

"Why do you think they call it Close Up?!"

3. Meg Ryan — Aim She may be better known for her parts in When Harry Met Sally... and Sleepless in Seattle, but before those successful films she appeared in a number of adverts including one for Aim toothpaste in the early 80s.

"Rah rah rah!"

4 & 5. Cheryl Ladd and Farrah Fawcett – Ultra Brite Both actresses rose to fame playing characters in the infamous 70s TV series Charlie's Angels, however they also both starred in Ultra Brite toothpaste adverts!

"In front of Mona Lisa?!"

6. Michael Clarke – Oral B While most toothpaste adverts with celebrities are from the 70s and 80s, here's a very recent one. Michael Clarke, former international cricketer and captain of Australia, recently starred in an Oral B advert which you can watch below.
