These ten songs turned ten years old in 2016!

1. Bad Day – Daniel Powter

Back in 2006, Daniel Powter's hit became the first song ever to sell two million digital copies in the US! The music video later reached a huge 9.8 million views that year.

2. Back To Black – Amy Winehouse

Amy recorded her iconic song from the 'Back To Black' album in 2006 with Mark Ronson, and released it later the next year. The tune was inspired by her relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil, who left the singer for his ex-girlfriend.

3. Irreplaceable – Beyoncé

'Irreplaceable' was recorded for Beyoncé's second album 'B'Day' (2006), and is still recognised as one of her most successful songs. It was nomainted for the Record of the Year award at the 50th Grammy Awards!

4. You're Beautiful – James Blunt

When we think James Blunt, we think 'You're Beautiful'. The song was released in 2005, but found its limelight in 2006, when it won an Ivor Novello Award for airplay.

5. Ain't No Other Man – Christina Aguilera

This upbeat tune for Christina was recorded in 2006 for her album Back to Basics. It was released as the lead single from the album, and won a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2007!

6. Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol

'Chasing Cars' was released as the second single from the band's fourth album, Eyes Open (2006). It gained a lot of popularity after it was played on Grey's Anatomy, and was nominated for Best British Single at the 2007 BRITs.

7. The Sweet Escape – Gwen Stefani

This song was released as the first single from Gwen's second album, also named 'The Sweet Escape' (2006). It was later nominated for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals at the 50th Grammy Awards.

8. Smile – Lily Allen

'Smile' was released as the first single from Lily's album 'Alright, Still' (2006), and was recognised as the UK's 11th most successful song of 2006! It then won a Pop Award at the London Broadcast Music Incorporated Awards in 2008.

9. Crazy – Gnarls Barkley

This was Gnarls Barkley's debut single, and when it was released in 2006, it became the first single to top the UK Singles Chart on downloads alone!

10. SexyBack – Justin Timberlake

'SexyBack' was written for JT's second album, 'Future Sex/Love Sounds' (2006), and after its numerous awards and plantinum certifications, it has been recognised as one of the best selling singles of all time!
