10 reasons autumn is secretly the best season
Autumn is officially here!
It's the first of October today! And instead of being sad that summer is gone, we've put together a list of reasons that autumn is secretly the best season...
1. You don't get really hot when the sun shines Not too hot, not too cold – juuuust right.
2. You get to roll in the leaves! So crunchy.
3. Hot, cosy, marshmallow-filled drinks are back on the menu No more iced frappe mocha chocca whatta drinks.
4. Jumpers and coats make a grand return No more pretending you're warm enough in just a t-shirt, get that winter coat out the back of the wardrobe!
5. It’s not really, really cold yet The woolly hats can wait a couple more months.
6. All the leaves turn red and orange So pretty!
7. CONKERS. Great for playing, collecting and apparently keeping the spiders out!
8. Halloween Scary costumes, decorations and loads of sweets – what more could you want?
9. Bonfire night Whether it's a few sparklers in the back yard or going to your local fireworks display, the 5th November is a pretty special night.
10. You can officially start counting down to Christmas Any countdown before the autumn is definitely invalid. All the fun starts here!
