2015 has been an epic year for films. Incase you missed any check out the list of the bestselling films to grace the big screen this year.

10. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (November)

In the final instalment of the four part movie series; The Hunger Games, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) battles President Snow in the final showdown. A love or hate film that most of the UK love, which helped it into the top 10 biggest sellers of the year.

9. Home (March)

It had a star studded cast with Jim Parsons, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez and it was perceived greatly in the UK. The loveable ‘Oh’ just wanted to fit into a place called ‘Home’.

8. Fifty Shades of Grey (February)

It was the most anticipated film of the year due to the mega success of E.L James’ novels. Just in case young eyes are reading, we’ll keep this brief; it’s kind of a love story with some ups and downs.

With two more films still to come – we expect bigger things from this movie.

7. Inside Out (July)

A kids favourite! Disney’s Inside Out took the box office by storm in the summer as we followed Riley’s emotional ride through life.

6. Furious 7 (April)

The Fast and Furious team have hit us with six action packed movies since 2001, but in 2015 Furious 7 exceeded all expectation. With the fitting tribute to Paul Walker the movie certainly has a place in the top 10 best sellers of this year.

5. Minions (June)

The UK went Minion mad in 2015 after the release of the prequel to Despicable Me. The cute yellow creatures can are now recognised worldwide.

4. Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron (April)

Marvel was back this year with the follow up to possibly one of the most loved super-hero movies of all time. From Hulk to Iron Man to Captain America all of the nation’s favourite heroes were back for this one.

3. Jurassic World (June)

Steven Speilberg worked his magic again this year, when he re-opened the park doors into Jurassic World. They teased us for months leading up to the release and when it arrived in UK cinemas it certainly didn’t disappoint, making it the third bestseller of 2015.

2. Spectre (October)

After a three year wait for the eagerly anticipated release of Spectre; the 24th James Bond film (yes, 24th!) the UK went mad for Daniel Craig’s fourth stint as 007.

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December)

It was only released with a few weeks left to go in 2015, but Star Wars’ latest edition; The Force Awakens, smashed box office records in the UK on its opening weekend. We were made to wait 10 whole years for the new film, but it certainly didn’t disappoint!

We just hope 2016's film releases are as good as this year's!
