It's puppy love for the Magic Breakfast team

Magic Breakfast discover an envy inducing World Record attempt.

Published 27th Sep 2017

The Magic Breakfast team are self confessed dog lovers… Anyone spot Ned stealing Harriet's seat in the Magic Breakfast studio?

Or maybe Ronan's impeccably behaved Pug named Aussie who enjoys a stroll in the park…

… as much as accompanying her owner to work?

Or Producer Alex's Retriever, Lily (nicknamed Bif – us neither), who enjoys nothing more than chilling out after a week of 4am Breakfast starts?

So imagine our envy when we heard about the 576 strong gathering of Border Collies, in Adelaide, Australia.

The event, which was held by the Border Collie Owners of South Australia, broke the unofficial record of the most Collies in one location (the Guinness Book of World Records doesn't recognise specific breed attempts) beating their previous 2013 record of 513 of the pedigree pooches. The day also raised $6000 for a local animal shelter.

Not only making for an impressive photo shoot - just look at the grin on that handsome chap at the front – it also got us wondering… just how many dogs can you fit in one Magic Breakfast studio?

For now though, we'll just have to make do with looking forward to Aussie's return.
