They like to keep their son's life relatively private, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have today delighted fans with their 2019 Christmas card, featuring seven-month-old Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor taking centre stage.

The Royal couple, who are spending Christmas out in Canada this year, sit in front of their Christmas tree as they laugh at a crawling Archie gazing into the camera lens.

Unlike past photos of their son, the adorable snap wasn't posted on their popular Instagram page, or through any of the Royal channels. Instead, a Twitter account called The Queen's Commonwealth Trust shared the photo in a GIF form, before Prince Harry's spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the photo.

The message read, 'Just sharing the sweetest Christmas Card from our President and Vice-President, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Very Merry Christmas, everyone!' sic

It's being reported that copies of the Christmas card were emailed around to Prince Harry and Meghan's staff and friends earlier this week, with printed copies sent to their close family members.

Whilst Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spending their son's first Christmas in Canada, it's been reported that The Queen supports their plans not to join the Royal Family at Sandringham on Christmas Day.

It's also understood that the couple enjoyed Thanksgiving in America with Meghan's mum Gloria Ragland back in November.
