Sonali is currently a host of BBC One's Escape to the Country and major BBC Events for BBC. She is also the Sunday Morning Breakfast presenter on Magic Radio from 7am - 10am.
She often hosts episodes of ITV's Tonight and regularly appears on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch.
Sonali has released her first children's book, The Best Diwali Ever, this year based on the religious festival.
She has appeared on BBC Radio 4's Today programme and on BBC One’s BBC Breakfast. She has hosted Saturday Live for BBC Radio 4, various shows on BBC London and as well as hosted Outlook on the BBC World Service.
Sonali is well known for being one of the faces BBC Sport and before that, a long-serving presenter of Newsround.
She has been heard on BBC Radio 2 on Breakfast and Drivetime, and BBC Asian Network, where she hosted the Phone-in 10am-1pm.
Sonali was part of the presentation teams for Delhi 2010, London 2012 and Glasgow 2014 and joined the BBC Crimewatch team in 2015. She was a regular host on the National Lottery Live Draw on BBC One.
She is known for her roles in the BBC's coverage of many marquee live events over recent years. These include the Queen's 90th birthday, the Royal Wedding, the passing of Prince Philip, Trooping the Colour, the Lord Mayor's Show, Wimbledon, the London Marathon, the 2011 Cricket World Cup and many more. Sonali was also part of Channel 4's coverage of Crufts and the Richard III reburial.
Sonali began her professional broadcasting career in BBC Radio soon after graduating from university in 2001. She produced and presented news and business programmes on the World Service and Radio 5 Live.
Away from the camera, Sonali is an Ambassador for the Prince's Trust and the British Asian Trust and regularly supports Barnardo's.
