50-year-old Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al-Mana have welcomed their first child into the world, a baby boy called Eissa Al-Mana.

The happy news was confirmed by Janet's publicist who released the following statement:

"Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably." They also added that both Janet and Wissam are 'thrilled' to be parents.

Fans first speculated the singer’s pregnancy back in April last year when the 50-year-old announced she would be postponing her tour due to a 'sudden change'.

In a video posted to her Twitter followers, Janet said, "My husband and I are planning our family and there has been a sudden change".

The singer later confirmed the news back in October to People Magazine who also released a photo showing Janet sporting her baby bump.

Janet married her third husband Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana at a private ceremony in 2012.

No photos of the little Eissa are yet to be released.

Congratulations to Janet and Wissam on their new tiny human!
