Eurovision hopeful Lucie Jones lands starring role in musical The Wedding Singer
She's a lady in demand!
From X Factor, to Eurovision, to Blackpool!
Lucie Jones is the UK's Eurovision challenger this year, and she's already fifth favourite to win the European contest. But just in case Eurovision doesn't work out for her, Lucie's got a few more tricks up her sleeve for this year!
Replacing former Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett, Lucie will be playing the role of Holly in the UK tour of The Wedding Singer this summer. The musical is based on the hit Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore film, and will come to the Opera House in Blackpool from Tuesday 4th July.
Lucie will perform amongst a talented cast of Jon Robyns (wedding singer Robbie Hart), and fellow X Factor finalists Ray Quinn (2006) and Cassie Compton (2004).
The Eurovision Song Contestant will take place this Saturday in Kiev, where Lucie will be belting out her (hopefully!) winning song, 'Never Give Up On You'.
We sat down with the Welsh singer right before she jetted over to Kiev to find out a little more about her.
It turns out Lucie can't perform on stage if she's wearing shoes, Jedward are as bonkers as you'd expect and a certain Star Wars cast member recently calmed her nerves after a performance.
