Dynasty, 80s TV drama, is coming back to our screens
The prime-time soap opera is back! 📺
Here's hoping Joan Collins makes a comeback!
Dynasty, the 80s TV soap opera following the violent feuds of two oil-rich families from Denver, will return to the CW network later this year.
CW announced the news this week that they will be airing a brand series tracking the Carrington and Colby families; but this time, there's a twist.
Though the TV show will still essentially be a TV drama about rich and dysfunctional families, Dynasty's newest series will focus on the young Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies) and Cristal (Nathalie Kelley), who is marrying the young Fallon's rich father.
The original series followed the varying fortunes and violent rivalries between the Carrington and Colby families. The show largely revolved around the Carrington patriarch (John Forsythe), his wife (Linda Evans) and his estranged ex-wife (Joan Collins).
Dynasty joins a long list of 80s TV shows that have been rebooted in recent years, including Knight Rider and Dynasty's longtime rival, Dallas.
Here's hoping it will be available in the UK!
