It's been five years since the fantastic Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody which followed Freddie Mercury and the rest of the band from their formation, up to their amazing Live Aid performance in 1986.
Now, as the film celebrates five years since its release, Queen have taken to their socials to share how amazingly accurate the film is, when it comes to recreating some of the scenes.
In the video shared on their social media, the original music video for 'I Want to Break Free' is put next to the recreation from the film, and their attention to detail is second to none. Fans can see below, how Rami Malek's portrayal for Freddie Mercury is a true likeness recreating the filming of the music video.
Since sharing, fans have been commenting on the video saying how accurate it looks, with one writing: 'It was almost eerie how well Rami portrayed Freddie. In fact I think all the actors did an OUTSTANDING job!!!!......😊😎', another said: 'Rami Malek did a phenomenal job with acting.'
The film Bohemian Rhapsody was released back in October 2018 to mixed reviews, however it proved a colossal hit at cinemas amassing $910.8 million (£735 million) at the global box office from a budget of just $50 million (£40 million).
It went on to win numerous awards including four Oscars (Best Actor for Rami Malek, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing), two BAFTAs (Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Sound) and two Golden Globes (Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama).
However, earlier this year, it lost its title of the most successful movie biopic ever, which went to Oppenheimer, the film, directed by Christopher Nolan followed the story of the ‘father of the atomic bomb’ J. Robert Oppenheimer and starred Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy in the lead role.
