Phil Collins' daughter Lily says he's 'doing good' after hospitalisation
His daughter Lily Collins has insisted Phil is recovering well.
Phil Collins's actress daughter Lily Collins has reassured her father's fans that he is on the road to recovery, following his hospitalisation.
"He's doing good, thank you," she told Entertainment Tonight at the New York premiere of Okja, her new Netflix original movie.
Lily's father was taken to hospital and forced to cancel his Royal Albert Hall concerts, after a bad fall in his hotel room in the middle of the night.
"He rose in the middle of night to go to the toilet and slipped in his hotel room, hitting his head in the fall on a chair. He was taken to hospital where he had stitches for a severe cash on his head close to his eye and his recovering well. He will be kept under observation for 24 hours," the statement read on Facebook.
"Phil sends his sincere apologies and thanks to fans. He has had a fantastic week at his first shows in 10 years, and cannot thank people enough for their warm reaction and is excited to return."
The shows were cancelled just hours before the singer was due to be onstage, prompting messages from some disappointed fans.
"Sorry to hear that... but we are sat on a train on our way to see him. #gutted .... no idea what we are going to do now," said Chris Cliff. "So sad. My father and I came from California just to see his concert tomorrow. We won't be able to make it back in November. Wishing Phil a speedy recovery and good overall health," said US-based Ashley Smith.

27-year-old Lily grew up in L.A. with her mum, Jill Tavelman, after Jill and Phil split up in 1994. Lily released her debut book 'Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me' earlier this year, in which she openly admitted that her father was 'not always there when I needed', and forgiving him not being the perfect father to her.
We wish Phil a speedy recovery and return to the stage.
