Whether you love to sing, or are a more reluctant performer, karaoke is a sure-fire way to make any party fun. However, when it comes to choosing the perfect song to perform, it can be tricky to know just what to choose - but not to worry, we might just have the perfect solution!
To give you an idea of what genre of music suits you best, the greetings card marketplace Thortful has teamed up with celebrity astrologer Inbaal Hongiman, in order to discover exactly what each star sign should perform at karaoke. Take a look and find your next karaoke song...

Aries
21st March to 19th April
According to celebrity astrologer Inbaal Hongiman, Aries are best suited to punk songs due to their 'fiery' nature, so you could opt for songs including 'Love Rock 'n' Roll' by Joan Jett, 'Basket Case' by Green Day or Blink-182's 'All The Small Things'.
Explaining why punk is the perfect choice for Aries to deliver a memorable performance, Inbaal said: "The fieriest of all the signs, those born under the sign of the ram like it loud. They favour music that rattles their teeth and moves their feet from a mile away – they're sure to put on an unforgettable performance!"
Taurus
20th April to 20th May
Due to the calm nature of a Taurus, Inbaal suggests that the ideal genre for the sign is classical. Therefore, you could go for 'Time To Say Goodbye' by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, 'Smile' by Josh Groban, or Andrea Bocelli's 'Ave Maria'.
Inbaal explained: "Taurus' are calm and peaceful, and like a pleasant atmosphere. They favour music that allows them to sink into a book next to an open window, so they should perform something classical to stay true to their preferences."
Gemini
21st May to 20th June
If you're a Gemini, you might want to choose a karaoke track in the hip hop genre. Possible options include Vanilla Ice's 'Ice Ice Baby', 'Super Bass' by Nicki Minaj and 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem.
Inbaal said: "Fun and communicative, Gemini's enjoy wordy songs. They favour music that invites them to sing along and enjoy every word – and they want to impress others by not having to look at the lyrics!"
Cancer
21st June to 22nd July
Those who have a cancer star sign can often be nostalgic, so a throwback could be the ideal karaoke number. Inbaal recommends going for the R&B genre, so you could choose 'Senorita' by Justin Timberlake, 'If I Ain't Got You' by Alicia Keys or 'Work It' by Missy Elliot.
Inbaal explained: "Cancers are loving and nostalgic, and often love a bit of a throwback. They favour music that reminds them of days gone by and transports them back into their favourite memories."
Leo
23rd July to 22nd August
According to Inbaal, Leos enjoy feeling powerful – so a soulful number could be right up their street. You could go for Chris Stapelton's 'Tennessee Whiskey', 'Ain't No Sunshine' by Bill Withers or 'Rolling In The Deep' by Adele.
Inbaal said: "Proud and majestic, those born under the sign of the lion love the feeling of power. They favour music which puts them in mind of greatness and look up to performers who broke the mould."
Virgo
23rd August to 22nd September
Inbaal believes songs which make easy listening are the ideal choice for a Virgo. You could opt for classic tracks including 'Wannabe' by the Spice Girls, 'Mamma Mia' by ABBA or 'Hey Jude' by The Beatles.
Inbaal said: "Virgos are neat and organised, so enjoy rhyming lyrics and uncomplicated beats. They favour music as a happy addition to their busy lives, so their favourite songs are feelgoods they'd want to share with their friends."
Libra
22nd September to 23rd October
Libras are commonly creative, so a good genre for them could be folk, thanks to the instruments involved in the songs. Favouring performers who play instruments, possible songs choices for a Libra could be 'Landslide' by Fleetwood Mac, 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain' by Creedence Clearwater Revival and Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'.
Inbaal said: "Creative and elegant, Libra appreciates a balance. They love the creativity of a singer-songwriter that plays their own instrument – they might even love to use a prop while they perform!"
Scorpio
23rd October to 21st November
Unique songs are the ideal karaoke choice for a scorpio according to Inbaal, who recommends the alternative rock genre. You could choose 'Misery Business' by Paramore, 'Naïve' by The Kooks or 'Californication' by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Inbaal added: "Scorpios are mysterious and individualistic and favour experimental fashions. They favour music that is as unique as they are."
Sagittarius
22nd November to 21st December
Dance songs could be the ideal option for a sagittarius, due to their adventurous nature. Possible song choices include 'Fergalicious' by Fergie, 'Cuff It' by Beyoncé and 'Freed From Desire' by Gala.
Inbaal added: "Free spirited and enthusiastic, Sagittarius' enjoy a wide variety of musical experiences. They love anything that reminds them of their holidays, and would always get the party started at karaoke."
Capricorn
22nd December to 19th January
Musical theatre songs could be the ideal choice for a capricorn, due to their appreciation of creativity. You could opt for 'Listen' from Dreamgirls, 'Time Warp' from The Rocky Horror Picture Show' or 'The Greatest Show' from The Greatest Showman.
Inbaal said: "Capricorns are high-minded and cultured and appreciate original creative arts. They favour music that can entertain and has a crowd hooked."
Aquarius
20th January to 18th February
Alternative pop could be the perfect genre for an aquarius. Possible choices for a karaoke song include 'The Sound' by The 1975, 'As It Was' by Harry Styles or Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know'.
Inbaal said: "Witty and optimistic, those born under the sign of the water-bearer love to listen. They favour sounds and words that have deeper meanings and can cause social change."
Pisces
19th February to 20th March
Love songs could be the ideal choice to a pisces, so Inbaal suggests opting for a romantic ballad. Possible options include 'Careless Whisper' by George Michael, 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' from Grease or 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi.
Inbaal explained: "Pisces are mostly into love songs, as they're romantic and warm. They enjoy a track that tugs at the heart strings and would perform an emotional closing number at a karaoke party!"
