Geri Horner has released a tribute single in memory of her late friend, George Michael.
The track, titled Angels in Chains, is Geri's first official single in 12 years, and is a personal declaration of love and appreciation for her friend, the 'Father Figure' singer.
The track was produced by George's long-time producer Chris Porter, and features musicians that the late singer worked with regularly.
"I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work on this record with Chris Porter and the same team George had hand picked for his own projects," said the former Spice Girl.
On their relationship, Geri explained that George was one of the few friends who was always there for her, no matter what.
"When I had my first child I lived in my house for nine months. If I was confused about anything I could call him up. He was a rock.
"What I try do now is always think, ‘What would George say? Would he approve? Is it good enough? Would he be proud?’
"I hope I’ve done him proud with this song. I’ve tried my best and I wouldn’t want to let him down."
All profits from the single will go to Childline, George's favourite charity, for which Geri is now an ambassador.
